Efforts in Clay

Welcome to my website and thank you for taking an interest in my handmade ceramics!

I make stoneware pottery that is designed to be used and enjoyed every day. Most of my work starts on the pottery wheel, though I also love the process of hand-building pieces from slabs or coils of clay. I’m drawn to simple, clean forms and uplifting colours.  My goal is to make well-crafted pieces that feel great to use, whilst providing you with unique and beautiful pieces to have in your home.

Based on the border of the beautiful counties of Yorkshire and Derbyshire, I combine my pottery practice with a busy family life.  As such, I create small batches of work and one-off items. I am also happy to take on commissions where possible.
